Church Story and History

The church was founded by Bishop Nicolas Hobson in September 2011 during the same year he was ordained as pastor of the church and got his pastoral and chaplain certification. Bishop Hobson founded the church because he has received his calling to preach the Gospel and serve the community. He loves to give back to the community because he has the heart to serve communities and help the poor spiritually. He loves and believers our Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior and serving his purpose on earth. Before he founded the church on the Westside of Chicago, he started the personal grassroots project, Pastor Hobson Homelessness Initiative in 2010-2014 that included evangelicalism, community development and outreach, and youth development. Pastor Hobson Homelessness Initiative was led by Bishop Hobson before he was elevated to Bishop in June 2018. Bishop Hobson and volunteer staff of Pastor Hobson Homelessness Initiative went out in the community in Chicago to provide community prayer and help the homeless. We hosted meetings in public meeting places and community rooms at Chicago Public Libraries in Douglass Park and West Loop.

In 2016-2018, we transitioned to State of Michigan because the church was barely getting by financially and economically in Chicago. We headquartered and planted operations in Southeast Michigan. We have been hosting services in public meeting spaces and meeting rooms in Southeast Michigan, Detroit and Flint because he has been trying to meet our goal to build or move into larger space. The services has seating problems because we have a fast growing congregation that started out small and has over 13,000 members today. with growing attendance among members and visitors. Our services and operations just moved to Southfield, Michigan to provide more outreach with a diverse community among Caucasian, Asian, Latino/Hispanic and Black/African-American. We manage our community outreach programs in Oakland County, Michigan. We are committed to biblical-truth, authentic relationships and compassionate service. Bishop Hobson provided fifteen community prayers to residents in Cleveland in 2017 on healing, repentance, trusting in God and living in the path of righteousness. Bishop Hobson provided 38 community prayers to Detroit residents in 2018. Bishop Hobson provided two community prayers in Baltimore, one in North Carolina and one South Carolina in 2018. Bishop Hobson provided nine community prayers in Pennsylvania to residents in 2019 and one in Los Angeles. Bishop Hobson provided 26 community prayers to residents in Georgia in 2021. Bishop Hobson provided 36 community prayers to residents in Detroit and Southeast Michigan to residents in 2021. Bishop Hobson provided one community to residents in Texas in 2021. Bishop Hobson provided four community prayers in Flint to residents in 2021 and one in Georgia to Atlanta residents. Bishop Hobson provided twenty and/or more community prayers in Houston to residents in 2023. Bishop Hobson provided one community prayer to Philadelphia residents in 2024.

We are committed to continuing our mission to serve our community and share the love of Christ. We believe God has an incredible plan for our church and we would be honored to have you become apart of our family and our story.
