Pastoral Care Ministry 

At Lord Jesus Christ Community Baptist Church, we believe that spiritual and emotional support is a vital part of our Christian walk. Our Pastoral Care Ministry exists to walk alongside our church family through all of life's seasons and sorrows. We are here to offer listening ear, a compassionate presence, and biblical guidance as we navigate life together. 

How we provide care

  • Pastoral Prayer: offering prayer for you and your family during times of need, celebration or struggle. 

  • Hospital and Home Visits: our pastors are available to visit those who are hospitalized or homebound.

  • Bereavement Support: providing comfort and guidance for those grieving and loss of loved one. 

  • Crisis Support: offering immediate spiritual and emotional support during unexpected crisis. 

  • Counseling Referrals: while our pastors can offer biblical counsel, we can also connect you to trusted, licensed professional Christian counselors for specialized care when needed. 

  • Celebrate Recovery: 12-step spiritual recovery program for people to overcome hurts, habits and hangups with mental health, addiction, financial recovery, anger management, substance abuse, codependency, grief, depression, sexual harassment and abuse, life-controlling behaviors.

Veterans Outreach Ministry 

At Lord Jesus Christ Community Baptist Church, we are deeply grateful for the brave  men and women who have served our nation. Our Veterans Outreach Ministry is dedicated to honoring and supporting these heroes and their families. We believe that no one ho has sacrificed so much for our freedom should walk their journey alone. 

Our ministry provides a place of community, care, and practical support for veterans and their families, regardless of their background or current beliefs. We are here to serve those who have served us. 

How We Serve Our Veterans 

Our ministry provides support in a variety of ways, including: 

  • Community and Fellowship: creating a welcoming space for veterans to connect with one another, share stories, and build relationships with a supportive community. 

  • Spiritual and Emotional Support: offering a safe environment for prayer, discussion, and spiritual guidance to help navigate the challenges of transitioning to civilian life. 

  • Resource Navigation: partnering with local organizations to help veterans access essential resources, such as housing assistance, job training and mental health services. 

  • Outreach Events: hosting events throughout the year, such as recognition luncheons on Memorial Day and Veterans Day, to show our gratitude and provide opportunities for fellowship.

Benevolence Ministry 

At Lord Jesus Christ Community Baptist Church, we are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus to a world in need. Our Benevolence Ministry exists to provide temporary assistance, emergency and assistance to individuals and families facing a crisis. Through the generosity of our church family, we are able to offer a helping hand to those who have nowhere else to turn, providing a tangible expression of God's love and grace. 

How We Offer Assistance 

  • Rent or Mortgage Payments to prevent eviction.

  • Utility bills to prevent service shutoff. 

  • Food pantry to provide emergency food to individuals and families, offer gift cards. 

  • Clothes Closet to provide clothing giveaways to the homelessness and needy.

  • Medical and transportation needs during a crisis. 

All requests are handled with strict confidentiality and reviewed by Benevolence Ministry staff to ensure we are being wise stewards of God's resources. if you or someone you know is in a difficult situation and needs help, we are here for you. We ask that all requests for assistance be submitted through our formal application process. Fill out the application form for the Homelessness Financial Relief Program, Emergency Assistance Program and Homelessness Mentoring Program that is available online in person at our office in Southfield.  Our Benevolence Ministry will review your application and may contact you for a confidential interview to better understand your situation. The Benevolence Ministry will determine the best way to offer support and will communicate their decision as quickly as possible.

Our Benevolence Ministry is entirely funded by generous, designated giving of our church family. You can partner with us in this vital work by contributing to our Benevolence Fund. Youth and Young Adult Ministry

"Your Place to Belong."

We believe that faith isn't something you wait to grow into. it is something you live out right now. Our Youth and Young Adult Ministry is a vibrant community dedicated to helping students and young adults 13-29 to grow in their relationship with God and with each other. this is a place where you can ask tough questions, building relationships, and discover your purpose in Christ. We are committed to creating a safe and fun environment where everyone feels known, valued and empowered to make a difference in the world. 

Our ministry is built on three core pillars: 

  • Authentic Community: we are more than just a group; we are a family. We create space spaces for genuine connection, fellowship, and support; celebrating the highs and walking the lows together. 

  • Relevant Teaching: our teaching is straight from the bible and designated to be relevant to the issues you face every day from school and friendships to future plans and faith. 

  • Serving Others: we believe a life of faith is a life of service. We provide regular opportunities to serve our church and our community, putting our beliefs in action.

  • Children's Church: Sundays at 11:00 AM at one our offices in Southfield. 

  • Youth Seminars: Every third Wednesday of each month at 6:00 PM at one of our Southfield offices. Expected discussions on economic and academic challenges, career development, family planning, and career and academic goals. 

  • Free Childcare Program: Monday-Saturday at 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM at our Southfield Office. Childcare is for parents that cannot afford childcare that like to work in the private sector. The program meets the expertise of parents that work first or second shift. 

  • After School Programs: Monday-Saturday at 3:00-7:00 PM at our Southfield offices. Expect games, worship, tutoring, mentoring and honest conversations in support groups.

Women's Ministry 

"Dedicated for Community, Centered on Christ"

Our Women's Ministry is a place for women of all ages and stages of life to connect, build authentic friendships, and grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. We believe that every woman has a unique story, and we are committed to creating a supportive environment where you can be known, encouraged and equipped to live out your faith. Whether you are a busy mom, a working professional, student, retired. There is a place for you here. 

Our ministry is dedicated to fostering a community where women can: 

  • Connect: build meaningful relationship s with other women through shared experiences and fellowship. 

  • Grow: deepen your faith through bible studies, small groups and discipleship opportunities. 

  • Serve: use their gifts and talents to serve our church and our local community. 

  • Berefreshed: find a space to rest, encouragement and spiritual renewal. 

We offer variety of ways to get involved and find a community that fits your schedule: 

  • Weekly bible studies before regular bible studies on Monday, Thursday and Friday at 6:00 PM. 

  • Monthly and Fellowship Events: game nights, coffee and conversation meetups, and workshops. 

  • Mentoring: connect seasoned women with younger women for guidance and support.

Prayer Ministry 

At Lord Jesus Christ Community Baptist Church, we believe that prayer is the foundation of everything we do. Our prayer ministry is dedicated to lifting up our church, community and the world to God's throne in powerful, consistent prayer. We are team of compassionate believers who are committed to praying for God's will to be done in every situation knowing that he hears and answers our prayers. This ministry is a core part of who we are, a constant conversation with our Heavenly Father that sustains, guides and strengthens us as a church family. 

Our prayer ministry is committed to serving our church and community through a variety of ways: 

  • Prayer Call Center: members and visitors call the church office to leave messages for prayer request and praise requests. Prayer requests are submitted by videos from individuals and families. 

  • Weekly Prayer Meetings: We gather to pray for our church, leaders, ministries and our city. 

  • Intercessory Prayer Team: our team of prayer warriors intercedes on behalf of individual prayer requests from our congregation. 

  • Prayer Before Service: we pray for God to move in every worship service, preparing hearts and minds to receive his word. 

  • Emergency Prayer Chain: For urgent needs, we have a network of committed intercessors who pray as soon as a request is received.

Our Married Couples Ministry is dedicated to strengthening and supporting couples at every stage of their relationship. Whether you are celebrating a new season, navigating a difficult one, or simply seeking to grow closer together. We provide a community where you can find authentic relationships to help your marriage thrive. Our ministry is built on three core pillars: 

  • Growth: we provide biblical teaching and practical tools to help couples grow in communication, intimacy, and conflict resolution.

  • Service: we believe that healthy marriages can be a powerful testimony to the world. We equip couples to serve together reflecting Christ's love to those around them.

Children's Ministry 

"Building a Foundation for a Lifetime of Faith" 

Welcome to the Children's Ministry at Lord Jesus Christ Community Baptist Church! We are so excited to partner with you in the spiritual journey of your child. Our ministry is a place where kids can learn about God's love in a creative, age-appropriate, and engaging way. Our passion is to lay a strong biblical foundation in the hearts of children, helping them understand who God is, his amazing love for them, and how they can live a life that honors him. We believe that learning about Jesus should be fun and we are committed to making our time together the highlight of your child's week! We want every parent to feel secure when they leave their child with us. All of our volunteers have been carefully screened through a rigorous application process, including a criminal background check. We also use a secure check-in and check-out system to ensure that every child is released only to a pre-approved parent or guardian. Our Sunday mornings are full of age-appropriate lessons, music, games and activities. we break into different age groups to ensure that every child is learning in a way that is best for them. 

  • Nursery (Birth-Age 2): A safe and nurturing environment for our littlest ones. 

  • Preschool (Age 3-5): Interactive Bible stories, crafts and songs that teach basic biblical truths. 

  • Elementary (Grades 1-5): Engaging lessons, small group discussions and high-energy worship that help kids apply God's Word to their lives.

Our friendly team will help you check in your child, answer any questions, and guide you to the classroom. Children's Ministry is available during both of our Sunday services at 9:45 AM, 11:00 AM and 7:00 PM.

Worship Ministry

At Lord Jesus Christ Community Baptist Church, our Worship Ministry is about creating an atmosphere where people can encounter the presence of God. We believe that worship is a response to who God is and all that he has done for us. Through music, art and technology, we seek to lead our congregation in authentic and heartfelt praise, inviting everyone to connect with him in a personal way. Our goal is to point people to Jesus using our gifts to serve our church and honor God with our very best. Our services feature a contemporary style of worship  with a mix of modern worship songs and timeless hymns. We believe in creating a dynamic and engaging environment where you can feel free to sing, pray and worship God in a way that feels natural and authentic. Christian Education Ministry 

"Growing in Faith, Together" 

At Lord Jesus Christ Community Baptist Church, we believe that spiritual growth is a lifelong journey. Our Christian Education Ministry is dedicated to providing opportunities for individuals of all ages to deepen their understanding of God's Word, mature in their faith, and build a stronger relationship with Jesus Christ. Our goal is to create a nurturing and engaging environment where you can explore biblical truths, ask questions and discover how to apply God's Word to your everyday life. Our ministry is built on three core pillars: 

  • Biblical Foundation: we are committed to teaching sound doctrine and helping people understand the bible as a whole. 

  • Spiritual Transportation: we believe that biblical knowledge should lead to a changed life, and we provide tools to help you grow in wisdom and character. 

  •  Community and Fellowship: we offer a place to connect with others who are also on the journey of faith, fostering supportive and encouraging learning environment. 

We offer a variety of classes and groups designed for every stage of life: 

  • Adult Bible Study: Monday, Thursday and Friday afternoon and evenings at 12:00 PM and 7:00 PM for in-depth look at a book of the bible or a theological topic. 

  • Sunday School: age-appropriate classes for all children and teens during our Sunday service (Men's class, Women's Class, Young Adult Class, Children's Class, Youth Class, Seniors Class, Married Couples Class and Homeless Class). Classes at 9:45 AM on Sunday. 

  • Discipleship and Mentoring: One-on-one and small group mentoring for those who want to take the next step in their faith journey. 

  • Foundations of Faith Class: A class for new believers of those exploring Christianity, covering core beliefs and practices.

Prison Ministry 

"A Ministry of Grace and Restoration" 

Our Prison Ministry is dedicated to sharing the hope and transforming power of the Gospel with those who are incarcerated. We believe that every person, regardless of their past is created in the image of God and is worthy of his love and redemption. Through our ministry, we seek to bring the light of Christ into dark places, offering spiritual guidance, community and a path toward a new life. Our mission is to serve as ambassadors of Christ, building bridges of hope and compassion to those who are often forgotten by society. We partner with local correctional facilities to minister to inmates through a variety of programs and services: 

  • Weekly Bible Studies: we lead regular Bible studies inside the prison to help inmates grow in their faith and understand God's word. 

  • Letter Writing Campaign: We write letters to inmates in prison to express our love and support for them while serving long prison sentences to avoid depression, mental health and suicide. 

  • Mentoring and Discipleship: we build one-on-one relationships with inmates, providing spiritual mentoring and guidance. 

  • Worship Services: we conduct worship services that bring a sense of community and fellowship to those who are incarcerated. 

  • Re-entry Support: we help connect recently released individuals with resources and a supportive community to help them successfully transition back into society. 

  • Support for Families: we offer prayer and encouragement to the families of the incarcerated who also carry a heavy burden.

Vine Ministry 

Our Vine Ministry is founded on the powerful words of Jesus in John 15:5, "I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing." We believe that true spiritual growth and joy come from being deeply connected to Jesus, the vine. This ministry is dedicated to help people build that connection by providing a place where you can be known, cared for, and grow in your faith alongside others. Our purpose is to help every member of our church family find a community where they can thrive, rooted in Christ's love. The best way to get plugged into our church is trough our small groups, which are the heart our Vine Ministry. In these groups, you can: 

  • Build Authentic Relationships: share your life, celebrate victories, and walk through challenges with group of believers. 

  • Grow Spiritually: Engage in biblical discussion, prayer and discipleship in a comfortable, informal setting. 

  • Serve Together: Find opportunities to live out your faith by serving our church and local community.

Music and Arts Ministry 

"Telling the Story of God's Love through Creativity" 

At Lord Jesus Christ Community Baptist Church, we believe that our creativity is a reflection of a creative God. Our Music and Arts Ministry is dedicated to using every form of art to tell the story of God's love and to lead our church in authentic worship. We are a community of musicians, singers, visual artists and technicians who are passionate about using our God-given talents to serve the body of Christ. Our goal is to create a dynamic and inspiring atmosphere where people can encounter the presence of God and respond to him in heartfelt praise. Our ministry serve our church through variety of creative expressions: 

  • Music: our worship teams lead our Sunday services with a mix of contemporary worship songs and timeless hymns, creating an atmosphere where all can worship God freely. 

  • Visual Arts: we incorporate visual elements, such as graphic design, photography and live art to enhance our worship experience and bring biblical themes to life. 

  • Drama and Dance: Through dramatic sketches and interpretive dance, we explore biblical stories and spiritual truths in a powerful and memorable way. 

  • Production and Media: our technical teams operate sound, lighting and media to ensure our services run smoothly and our message is clear.

Usher Ministry

Our Usher Ministry is the welcoming face of our congregation. These dedicated volunteers are a vital part of every worship service creating a warm, safe and organized environment for everyone who walks through the doors. We believe that a welcoming spirit is a powerful way to share the love of Christ, and our ushers are committed to making a person feel valued and at home. The ministry of our ushers is to serve with a spirit of hospitality and excellence, ensuring that all who enters our church can experience the joy of worship without distraction. Our ushers are truly the hands and feet of our church on Sunday morning and evening. Their service includes: 

  • Welcoming Guests: Greeting everyone with a warm smile and helping visitors find their way around the building. 

  • Assisting with Seating: Helping guests and members find a comfortable seat in the sanctuary before the service begins. 

  • Managing the Offering: serving as stewards of our financial gifts by collecting and securing the weekly tithes and offerings. 

  • Ensuring Safety: Assisting with any medical and security needs that may arise during a service and help an organized exit during emergencies. 

  • Distributing Materials: Handing out bulletins, communion elements and other materials needed for the service.

Family Ministry 

At Lord Jesus Christ Community Baptist Church, we believe that the family is the cornerstone of a vibrant faith. Our Family Ministry is dedicated to supporting, equipping and encouraging families at every stage of their journey from new parents to those with adult children. We are committed to creating a community where every family, no matter what shape or size, feels seen, supported and empowered to build a lasting foundation of faith in their home. We partner with parents knowing that you are the most significant spiritual influence in your children lives. Our goal is yo provide you with the resources, community and support you need to raise a family that loves God and love others. We offer workshops, small groups and practical tools to help parents navigate the challenges and joys  of raising children. Fun events throughout the year designed for the whole family to connect, make memories and serve together.

At Lord Jesus Christ Community Baptist Church, our Seniors Ministry is a vibrant and welcoming community dedicated to honoring and serving our most experienced members. We believe that this season of life is a time for continued growth, connection and spiritual vitality. Our ministry provides a place where seniors can find meaningful friendships, grow in their faith, and share the wisdom they have gained throughout their lives. We are a community that values your unique story and life experience. Our purpose is to create a supportive environment where you can thrive, find joy and continue to serve God with purpose and passion. Our ministry provides a variety of opportunities for fellowship, learning and fun: 

  • Regular Gatherings: we meet regularly for fellowship, devotionals and special speakers. This is a time to connect, pray for one another and grow in faith. 

  • Social Events and Outings: join us for fun activities like group lunches, day trips and holiday celebrations. 

  • Bible Studies: we offer small group bible studies designated to help you deepen your understanding of God's Word and apply it to your life.

Security Ministry 

"A Ministry of Protection and Care"

At Lord Jesus Christ Community Baptist Church, our highest priority is ensuring that everyone who gathers here can worship and grow in safe in a safe, peaceful and secure environment. Our Security Ministry is a dedicated team of volunteers committed to protecting our congregation, guests and facilities so that all can focus on encountering God. We view our ministry as an extension of Christian hospitality-a quiet, watchful presence that provides a layer of protection and preparedness allowing the church to thrive. Our team is trained to handle a variety of situations with a focus on prevention and compassionate response. Our key roles include protecting the vulnerable, medical preparedness, risk assessment, emergency response, and parking lot and door monitoring. 

If you have a background in security, law enforcement, healthcare, or military service or simply have a vigilant mindset and a heart for serving. We invite you to join our team. We provide ongoing, professional training to ensure all members are equipped to serve effectively and confidently. We are looking for individuals who are committed to the safety of our church family, calm and discreet under pressure, and able to maintain situational awareness. "Sharing the Promise of Hope Across Africa" 

Living Hope Africa is the international outreach arm of Lord Jesus Christ Community Baptist Church, dedicated to sharing the living hope of Jesus Christ with communities in African continent. Our ministry is rooted in the belief that God desires not only spiritual transformational but also physical flourishing for all his children. We partner with local leaders and organizations to bring sustainable, life-changing support to those who need it most. Our mission is to empower communities and demonstrate the unconditional love of God through tangible acts of service and discipleship. We focus on holistic development addressing both the spiritual and practical needs pf the communities we serve. Our work is primarily focused in Kenya, Uganda, Ghana, Nigeria, Liberia, Romania, Tanzania and South Africa. We believe in partnership and sustainability. Living Hope Africa does not seek to impose solutions, but rather walk alongside local leaders and ministries who understand the unique challenges and culture of their communities. Our support ensures that the work continues long after our short-term teams return home. We organize annual trips to various countries in Africa to support projects, encourage local partners, and participate in community outreach. 

  • Discipleship and Evangelicalism: We support local pastors and churches by providing resources and spreading the Gospel. 

  • Education: We partner with schools for vulnerable children. 

  • Orphan and Childcare: We provide care and spiritual nourishment for vulnerable children in orphanage. 

  • Clean Water and Health: We sponsor projects to install clean water wells and health initiatives addressing critical physical needs and community health.

Guardian Angel Outreach Ministry

We honor your calling. To our community police, fire, EMS and dispatch personnel: We see your sacrifice, we honor your courage, and we understand the unique toll your calling takes on you and your family. Our Guardian Angel Outreach Ministry is here to support you in a way only the church can. This ministry strengthen personnel, marital and spiritual well-being of active and retired First Responders and their families to equip them to walk with Christ while navigating the stresses of their demanding profession. This ministry is for all first responders (Law Enforcement, Fire, EMS, Dispatch) and their spouses and children.

Bus Ministry 

Our Bus Ministry is a outreach tool to help share the love of Christ. Our mission is to provide safe and friendly transportation to anyone in our community, such as children, teens and adults. The Bus Ministry help people to come to church on Sunday and Bible Study every week. To request a ride, please contact our Bus Ministry at pabwm1@gmail.com or (947) 465-4947. We ask you to contact us daily at 9:00 AM-5:00 PM to be added to the route for upcoming services. The Bus Ministry is available for riders of all ages, but we require a signed parental consent form before their first ride. Riders are picked up or dropped off at their home or homeless shelter. We are seeking volunteers to serve as bus drivers with CDL, bus monitor/worker, visitation team and/or mechanic/maintenance. 


Special Needs Ministry 

The Special Needs Ministry serves children, teens and adults with diverse needs, including autism spectrum disorders. Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, ADHD, developmental delays, and other physical or cognitive challenges. We pair your loved one with a trained and dedicated volunteer who stays with them throughout the church service and/or Sunday school. The buddy assist with transitions, provide sensory breaks, and ensure they participate in all activities to the level they are comfortable with. We offer a separate, age-appropriate class taught by specialized volunteers The classes uses adapted curriculum to teach biblical truths in a way that meets the unique learning styles of our participants.
