At Lord Jesus Christ Community Baptist Church, we believe that spiritual and emotional support is a vital part of our Christian walk. Our Pastoral Care Ministry exists to walk alongside our church family through all of life's seasons and sorrows. We are here to offer listening ear, a compassionate presence, and biblical guidance as we navigate life together.
How we provide care
Pastoral Prayer: offering prayer for you and your family during times of need, celebration or struggle.
Hospital and Home Visits: our pastors are available to visit those who are hospitalized or homebound.
Bereavement Support: providing comfort and guidance for those grieving and loss of loved one.
Crisis Support: offering immediate spiritual and emotional support during unexpected crisis.
Counseling Referrals: while our pastors can offer biblical counsel, we can also connect you to trusted, licensed professional Christian counselors for specialized care when needed.
Celebrate Recovery: 12-step spiritual recovery program for people to overcome hurts, habits and hangups with mental health, addiction, financial recovery, anger management, substance abuse, codependency, grief, depression, sexual harassment and abuse, life-controlling behaviors.
Prayer Call Center: members and visitors call the church office to leave messages for prayer request and praise requests. Prayer requests are submitted by videos from individuals and families.
Weekly Prayer Meetings: We gather to pray for our church, leaders, ministries and our city.
Intercessory Prayer Team: our team of prayer warriors intercedes on behalf of individual prayer requests from our congregation.
Prayer Before Service: we pray for God to move in every worship service, preparing hearts and minds to receive his word.
Emergency Prayer Chain: For urgent needs, we have a network of committed intercessors who pray as soon as a request is received.

Serve, Reach, Impact: Our Missions
We believe in putting faith into action. This ministry is the hands and feet of Lord Jesus Christ Community Baptist Church dedicated to meeting physical and spiritual needs in our community and around the world. Our efforts include vital support for veterans, in-person ministry at Correctional Facilities, and direct financial Benevolence for the needy. The Outreach and Global Missions Auxiliary is a strategic arm of Lord Jesus Christ Community Baptist Church responsible for extending the love and message of Christ to populations outside our regular congregation. Through dedicated efforts and focused programs, we strive to bring holistic support and hope to the vulnerable.
Core Initiatives:
Local Benevolence: Providing essential resources and emergency assistance to members and people in the local communities experiencing hardship.
Veterans Outreach: Dedicated programs to honor and support the unique needs of service members and their families.
Prison Ministry: Sharing the Gospel and offering mentorship and rehabilitation resources within correctional facilities and for re-entry.
Food Pantry and Clothes Closet: Provide clothing and food distribution to the homelessness and needy.
Global Partnership: Supporting foreign missionaries and international projects that align with our core beliefs.
All requests are handled with strict confidentiality and reviewed by Outreach and Missions Ministry staff to ensure we are being wise stewards of God's resources. if you or someone you know is in a difficult situation and needs help, we are here for you. We ask that all requests for assistance be submitted through our formal application process. Fill out the application form for the Homelessness Financial Relief Program, Emergency Assistance Program and Homelessness Mentoring Program that is available online in person at our office in Pontiac and Bloomfield Hills. Our Outreach and Missions Ministry will review your application and may contact you for a confidential interview to better understand your situation. The Outreach and Missions Ministry will determine the best way to offer support and will communicate their decision as quickly as possible.

Our Outreach and Missions Ministry is entirely funded by generous, designated giving of our church family. You can partner with us in this vital work by contributing to our Benevolence Fund. Select Benevolence Fund from the giving drop down menu at givelify or check Benevolence Fund on offering envelope. Your gift allow us to be ready to respond with compassion whenever a crisis arises. Our Generational Ministry is dedicated to building a continuous, seamless path of spiritual growth for all ages from the youngest members to those starting their adult lives. We just don't offer programs; we partner with parents and families to raise up strong, devoted disciples through every life stage. This auxiliary encompasses the children ministry, youth ministry (middle and high school), and young adult ministry.
Our ministry is built on three core pillars:
Authentic Community: we are more than just a group; we are a family. We create space spaces for genuine connection, fellowship, and support; celebrating the highs and walking the lows together.
Relevant Teaching: our teaching is straight from the bible and designated to be relevant to the issues you face every day from school and friendships to future plans and faith.
Serving Others: we believe a life of faith is a life of service. We provide regular opportunities to serve our church and our community, putting our beliefs in action.

Children's Church: Sundays at 11:00 AM at one our offices in Southfield.
Youth Seminars: Every third Wednesday of each month at 6:00 PM at one of our Southfield offices. Expected discussions on economic and academic challenges, career development, family planning, and career and academic goals.
Free Childcare Program: Monday-Saturday at 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM at our Southfield Office. Childcare is for parents that cannot afford childcare that like to work in the private sector. The program meets the expertise of parents that work first or second shift.
After School Programs: Monday-Saturday at 3:00-7:00 PM at our Southfield offices. Expect games, worship, tutoring, mentoring and honest conversations in support groups.
For Parents: we know that choosing a ministry for your student is an important decision. We are committed to providing a safe, biblical-grounded environment where your children can thrive spiritually. Our team of leaders is fully vetted and dedicated to their spiritual growth and safety. We believe the family is the foundational unit of the church and society. The Family and Discipleship Ministry provides resources, teaching and fellowship necessary to strengthen every individual and relationship. Our goal is to equip all members, single, married, parent, and/or child to grow in their faith live Christ-centered lives and build healthy, God-honoring families.
Key Areas of Focus: Marriage Enrichment, Parenting Workshops, small group bible studies, game nights, coffee and conversation meetupsm and annual retreats.

At Lord Jesus Christ Community Baptist Church, our Worship Ministry is about creating an atmosphere where people can encounter the presence of God. We believe that worship is a response to who God is and all that he has done for us. Through music, art and technology, we seek to lead our congregation in authentic and heartfelt praise, inviting everyone to connect with him in a personal way. Our goal is to point people to Jesus using our gifts to serve our church and honor God with our very best. Our services feature a contemporary style of worship with a mix of modern worship songs and timeless hymns. We believe in creating a dynamic and engaging environment where you can feel free to sing, pray and worship God in a way that feels natural and authentic. Whether you are a lifelong believer or exploring faith for the first time, we invite you to join us as we worship God with all of our hearts. We incorporate visual elements, such as graphic design, photography and live art to enhance our worship experience and bring biblical themes to life. Through dramatic sketches and interpretive dance, we explore biblical stories and spiritual truths in a powerful and memorable way. The Worship Ministry serves the congregation in the following ways:
Welcoming Guests: Greeting everyone with a warm smile and helping visitors find their way around the building.
Assisting with Seating: Helping guests and members find a comfortable seat in the sanctuary before the service begins.
Managing the Offering: serving as stewards of our financial gifts by collecting and securing the weekly tithes and offerings.
Ensuring Safety: Assisting with any medical and security needs that may arise during a service and help an organized exit during emergencies.
Distributing Materials: Handing out bulletins, communion elements and other materials needed for the service.
Are you a musician, vocalist or tech-savvy creative with a heart for worship? We would love to have you partner with us. Our ministry is made up of passionate volunteers who use their gifts to serve the body of Christ. We have opportunities for you to get involved on our:
Vocal Team: Lead worship with our vocalists.
Instrumental Team: Play guitar, keys, drums and bass.
Production Team: Serve with our sound, lighting or media team.
Creative Team: Help with visual media, graphic design, and video production.

Our Vine Ministry is founded on the powerful words of Jesus in John 15:5, "I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing." We believe that true spiritual growth and joy come from being deeply connected to Jesus, the vine. This ministry is dedicated to help people build that connection by providing a place where you can be known, cared for, and grow in your faith alongside others. Our purpose is to help every member of our church family find a community where they can thrive, rooted in Christ's love. The best way to get plugged into our church is trough our small groups, which are the heart our Vine Ministry. In these groups, you can:
Build Authentic Relationships: share your life, celebrate victories, and walk through challenges with group of believers.
Grow Spiritually: Engage in biblical discussion, prayer and discipleship in a comfortable, informal setting.
Serve Together: Find opportunities to live out your faith by serving our church and local community.
Adult Bible Study: Monday, Thursday and Friday afternoon and evenings at 12:00 PM and 7:00 PM for in-depth look at a book of the bible or a theological topic.
Sunday School: age-appropriate classes for all children and teens during our Sunday service (Men's class, Women's Class, Young Adult Class, Children's Class, Youth Class, Seniors Class, Married Couples Class and Homeless Class). Classes at 9:45 AM on Sunday.
Discipleship and Mentoring: One-on-one and small group mentoring for those who want to take the next step in their faith journey.
Foundations of Faith Class: A class for new believers of those exploring Christianity, covering core beliefs and practices.
We have a variety of groups that meet throughout the week at different times and locations in Southfield. Whether you prefer meeting in a home, at a local cafe or the church; we have a group for you. Deacon/Deaconess Ministry: Servants of the Church
The Deacon/Deaconess Ministry serves as the primary agents of compassion and practical support for the congregation and pastoral staff. Rooted in the model service found in the book of Acts, our Deacons and Deaconesses focus on addressing the materials, physical and spiritual needs of our members.
Key Responsibilities include:
Assisting the pastor with ordinances (Communion and Baptism)
Providing care, visitation, and spiritual encouragement to members.
Overseeing the distribution of internal benevolence funds.
Offering direct assistance and spiritual accountability to the Senior Pastor
Maintaining contact and care for all church families
Preparing and serving during special services.
Our Bus Ministry is a outreach tool to help share the love of Christ. Our mission is to provide safe and friendly transportation to anyone in our community, such as children, teens and adults. The Bus Ministry help people to come to church on Sunday and Bible Study every week. To request a ride, please contact our Bus Ministry at pabwm1@gmail.com or (947) 465-4947. We ask you to contact us daily at 9:00 AM-5:00 PM to be added to the route for upcoming services. The Bus Ministry is available for riders of all ages, but we require a signed parental consent form before their first ride. Riders are picked up or dropped off at their home or homeless shelter. We are seeking volunteers to serve as bus drivers with CDL, bus monitor/worker, visitation team and/or mechanic/maintenance.
