Biography of Bishop Nicolas Hobson
Bishop Nicolas Hobson was raised on the Southside of Chicago in the Roseland and Morgan Park neighborhood. He was born at Roseland Community Hospital on April 28, 1983 at 12:43 PM. His mother name is Sheila Hobson and father name Michael Cooper. He has a stepsister name Angela Anderson. He attended Ryders Elementary School on the Southside of Chicago for preschool to first grade. His mother transferred him to Fort Dearborn Elementary School on the Southside of Chicago for second to fifth grade. His mother transferred him to Esmond Elementary School on the Southside of Chicago for sixth to eighth grade. He graduated from Esmond Elementary School in June 1998. He had a speech impediment in school and had speech pathology once a week because he use to speak with a shaky voice up through high school. He was admitted to Morgan Park High School in March 1998. He started at Morgan Park High School in August 1998. His homeroom division number was Division 272. He was Emotional Mentally Handicapped (EMH) while was attending Fort Dearborn Elementary School as a child and changed to Emotional Behavioral Disability when I attended Morgan Park High School. He founded out learning disability later from the Special Education Department that the disability means he is a hard worker and did not talk much. He was not really Special Ed in school because he took mostly regular classes at Morgan Park High School. My mother taught and raised me to be independent and have responsibility. He got good grades in school because my mother raised me to have good priorities and hard work. His mother talk me to be independent and do not worry about haters and envious people. When he got some bad grades in school, he was able to improve those grades before the end of the school year because of his hard work and responsibility. After he graduated from Esmond Esmond Elementary School in June 1998, he worked as a Teacher's Aide during the Summer Youth Program. He continued to work as a teacher's aide in the Summer Youth Program while he was attending Morgan Park High School in 2000-2002. He registered to vote for the first time at age 18 as a Democrat, but started to move to the center in elected in 2010 that became an registered Independent since 2010.
He was admitted and attended City Colleges of Chicago-Harold Washington College after graduating from high school. His academic major and focus were Religious Studies, Political Science and Business. He continued his higher education at City Colleges of Chicago-Malcolm X College and Kennedy King College completing coursework in Business, Political Science and Religious Studies. He was elected and served on Student Government as Treasurer in fall 2008. He graduated from Kennedy King College in December 2010 with Associate Degree in General Studies. He was admitted to DePaul University to pursue Bachelor degree in the Colleges of Liberal Arts of Sciences. He was elected student government as student senator of Colleges of Liberal Arts and Sciences in 2011. He was awarded the Leadership in the Workplace Certificate, Social Responsible Leadership Certificate and Organizational Leadership Certificate from Student Leadership Institute at DePaul University in 2010 and 2011. While he was attending DePaul University, he started his own personal grassroots project called the Pastor Hobson Homelessness Initiative to provide mentoring, evangelicalism, counseling and advocacy.
He became an ordained Pastor in 2011 with his ordination to start his own congregation on the Westside of Chicago in the Douglass Park neighborhood and expanded in the Midwest and the South. He was a food service and program volunteer at Grace Place in Chicago in 2014-2015 helping the homeless and needy. You started another personal grassroots project in Chicago called Youth and Children Development Initiative in 2014-2015. He was a volunteer Life Skills and Self-Sufficiency Coach at the City Mission in Cleveland in 2017-2018. As his first act as Senior Pastor in Chicago, he donated over $100 of his own money for charitable giving to the homeless and needy. He donated over $2,000 of his own money to a homeless and needy in East Iowa in 2017. He was a Food Service and Program Volunteer at the Philly House and Hub of Hope in Philadelphia in 2024 feeling the homeless and serve part of the prayer team. He donated his own personal money to help the homeless on the streets in Cleveland in 2017. He was a Food Service and Program Volunteer at the Bowery Mission in New York, NY help feed the homeless, assist with intake process and work in clothing room. He was an Outreach and Service Volunteer at Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries in 2017-2018. He started a personal grassroots project in East Iowa called America Homelessness Coalition that provided mentoring to the homeless and needy, evangelicalism and advocacy. While he was an undergraduate student, he was a member of Rainbow Push Coalition. He was a member of National Action Network while he was living in Atlanta in 2021. He was a Junior Board Member at Catholic Charities in Chicago in 2012-2014. He was a member of Access Living of Metropolitan Chicago in 2014-2015. He was a volunteer of Barack Obama Presidential campaign in 2007-2012. He is a Faith Partner at Bill Winston Ministries since 2018. He is a Prayer Partner at Helping Up Mission in Baltimore since 2015. He served in the Spiritual Recovery Program at Star of Hope Mission in Houston in May 2023 to October 2023. He reside in Memphis, Tennessee along with the First Lady Jennifer. The journey of Bishop Hobson began in the heart of Chicago raised under the standard of quietude and administrative order. When he was a child growing up, the values of contentment and structural integrity were modeled daily teaching him that a man character is his most valuable property. He learned his his early years have a vision to mind their own business, avoid static in the world and build foundations that cannot be shaken by rubble. Bishop Hobson committed himself to pursuit academic excellence. His higher education and experience journey was designed to provide forensic logic to lead a global movement. With a focus on human services and religion, he developed the academic weight required to complex legal and social systems. This education pillar ensures that every directive given to the members is backed by order, law and intelligence. Today, he operates as a sovereign professional bridging the gap between spiritual leadership and logistical execution. His career is the living proof that a Senior Pastor do not just preach a vision, he manages the artery of progress for the community.
